CREDENTIALS & CLINICAL EXPERIENCE
Jennifer (she/her) has over a decade of experience in the field of alternative health care. She is nationally board certified by the NCCAOM and state licsenced by the NCALB. Her clinical experience includes co-creating and successfully establishing the first Chinese acupuncture and herbal medicine clinic in Madison county, administering acupuncture at an outpatient substance abuse program in Asheville, and establishing a private practice in downtown Asheville.
TRAINING & TREATMENT STYLES
Jennifer earned a four year Masters degree in Chinese medicine in Asheville at the renowned Classical Chinese medicine graduate school, Daoist Traditions. Her training included over 3,500 hours of classroom and clinical training, four years of academic and hands on training. Her practice also heavily incorporates the classics she learned from her teacher, Dr. Jeffrey Yuen, master of chinese medicine and 88th generation Daoist priest. Prior to Chinese medicine, Jennifer completed a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work and afterwards did a year-long internship in Guatemala with an indigenous medicinal herb program that served Mayan communities.
In order to fully specialize in fertility, she expanded her fertility studies by completing an extensive 9 month fertility mentorship in Integrative Fertility and Reproductive Medicine by Dr. Laura Erlich, focusing on both the Western and Eastern side of fertility care. She also has personal experience in integrative fertility, having personally used both Western and Eastern care to conceive and carry her daughter through reciprocal IVF. She is passionate about using her professional knowledge and personal experience to support all people looking to conceive.
Recognizing the importance of the mind-body-spirit connection to support the whole person, Jennifer has completed a 9-month training for facilitating ceremony and rites of passage through the Somatic Wilderness Therapy Institute, Feng shui training and is certified by the Heart Math Institute for anxiety, stress and depression relief. In addition, she completed a 9 month mentorship in Andean Healing Practices through Don Oscar Miro Quesda’s organization.
